اعتبر المصري القديم أن أوزوريس لم يمت، وأن جسده الذي تمزق وبعثرت أجزاءه في أنحاء البلاد بمثابة بذور القمح
التي سوف تعود من جديد في صورة سنابل القمح الذهبية الغالية.. ولهذا أطلق على حقول القمح "حقول السلام" وأصبح الخبز الذي يعني بالمصرية القديمة "العيش" اماً آخر للحياة..

إلى حقول السلام
حقول السنابل الغالية
أنت أرضي وأنت جنتي
وفي قلبك بيتي ...
من خيرك نجيا
وبدونك لا توجد حياة.
